Proof So you say you want proof that L lives, eh? Well, I'll give you proof! And hopefully other fans will too :D (Remember, this is for fun! Shits and giggles, if you will~ You may submit anything you think would count as proof for L to live!) Would you like to submit your proof to this site? Please do! 1. Sweet Factory, an all you can eat/buy candy store! I've been there numerous times, and I'm sure L is a big fan. Now, how could someone with such a sweet tooth die when they have so much of THIS to live for? Hmmm? ^_^ 2. (from Konami) Now this one can prove L didn't actually die in the story,. When Rem writes down Watari's name she has officially created the circumstances for a Shinigami to die, since Watari's computer contained all the files from the investigation and Watari would surely be a help to Misa's capture, writing his name down is suicide for Rem. Now if Watari's name wasn't written down first, and Ryuuzaki's name first (with seconds after it), this wouldn't of worked either because she wouldn't of been able to kill Watari. Meaning, Rem could of only killed one person or the other, not both! The only way Rem could of actually killed them both is unfortunately just as simple, the punishment of death for extending a humans lifespan isn't instantly met and she had enough time to write down both names, it's supported by that we see Rem writing after Watari dies. 3. (from Konami) It wasn't "L", why? Because Rem calls L Ryuuzaki in her thoughts, why would she call him Ryuuzaki when she can see his name clearly over his head?. Misa stated L's real name wasn't Ryuuzaki. I have one more thing, a error or sorts that makes the circumstances of L's death somewhat impossible, the reason is because Rem sees Misa's lifespan when she enters the building, meaning Rem would know how soon Misa dies, however Rem never states that Misa has little time left, in fact Rem only starts realizing Misa is in trouble when seeing that L is going to start catching onto Misa. However, since Rem knows Misa's lifespan, he would have no purpose to worry about her dying early aside her name being written in the deathnote (the only way people can die outside their natural lifespan that we know of). The huge point is here, Rem probably wouldn't sacrifice herself if Misa only had days or weeks left (what little time it would of taken L to catch Misa), also Rem would of showed concern if that was how much time she had left at some point. Since Ryuuzaki wanted the owner of the death note to get the death sentence, and that Rem says Misa will be punished by the death sentence, this makes it all the more clear, Rem would of catched on much sooner. So there you have it, the author created a seemingly impossible scenario based on the known facts. 4. (from chris pit) here is some proof L never died: they never showed his body!!!!! and, Rem only had time to write L's name, so he would've died of a heart attack. However, L merely falls peacefully! I know thatŐs stretching it, but Rem was also dying, so I doubt she had a full amount of time to write L's real name, Lawliet *******, (dnt know his last name) so its possible he never died, and merely went into hiding because he wanted to work behind the scenes!!!! there! 5. (from Crazzy Warrior) I have one more thing, a error or sorts that makes the circumstances of L's death somewhat impossible, the reason is because Rem sees Misa's lifespan when she enters the building, meaning Rem would know how soon Misa dies, however Rem never states that Misa has little time left, in fact Rem only starts realizing Misa is in trouble when seeing that L is going to start catching onto Misa. So there you have it, the author created a seemingly impossible scenario based on the known facts. I got a note about this. At this point Misa was a Death-note owner. the owners of Death Notes cannot see the lifespan of others with a shinigami, nor can they see shinigami's life spands. therefore Rem could not see misa's lifespans. I feal this is a note that Shinigami's could see the shinigami eyes in a human. Therein she knows that misa made the deal a second time. 6. (from Edward Bogden) It was said in the manga that he didn't even have a spot in the obituaries. If he actually died, then it wouldn't matter if it was in there, because it probably wouldn't even say he was L! AND he didn't even have a funeral. Why would he not? Therefore, he did not die! :D
