Ahh, L! Our lovely thumb nibbling, sweet gorging, Kira hunting L! For those of you who don't know, L is a character from the manga series Death Note, which has become a live action movie and will be an anime in the fall of 2006!

For those of you that DO know Death Note, you most likely also know that in the dreaded Chapter 58, L meets his demise. I found it interesting that it wasn't directly by the hands - or pen - of Raito/Kira, but by his maniuplation. That certainly fits his style, though! He tricks Rem into having to decide between killing L and herself, or letting Misa get found out. For love, Rem chose to sacrifice herself to save Misa, but that also meant L, among others...

But that is not the end of the story! Our precious L may have passed away in the manga, but he's still very much alive. Really! There's a movie now, and I'm looking forward to see if they get that far into the manga.

Okay, you can shoot me. Anyway, basic L bio is that he's a world renound super detective that gets involved in the Kira case. He's freakishly accurate and knows who Kira is from the get-go, but never has sufficient evidence to prove it to everyone else. Unfortunately that costs him his life.

L aka Ryuzaki aka Hidek Ryuga aka so many other aliases, is a lover of fine things and a man of good taste - if your taste is 10,000 calories per day in sugary sweetness, a Powerbook G4, and the same clothes from Ross every day :D But that's why we love him! His mannerisms down to his quirky appearence, all L and L alone~
